A Dog Who Was Abandoned In A Dumpster Is Currently Recovering

ICEMAN February 25, 2020

A dog named Bowie, who was thrown into a dumpster, is making headway towards recovery.

Sarah Coffman is the founder of the animal rescue group that has taken the responsibility to care for the pooch. Sarah told reporters that the canine had gained more than ten pounds. The dog weighed only twenty-one pounds when he was found, which was half of what the dog should have weighed under normal circumstances.

Officials told news outlets that surveillance cameras recorded two people putting the Pit-Bull mix in a dumpster located in an apartment complex.

A resident of the area found Bowie when he was taking out the trash, and he immediately took the pooch to a vet to get the dog the medical attention that he needed.

Sarah said that the dog had an adorable personality and he had always been a happy and friendly pooch at the shelter. Sarah added that once Bowie gets done with all his vaccine shots and goes through the process of neutering, the dog will then be put up for adoption. Sarah wants to find a suitable forever home for Bowie, where the dog will be spoiled and loved in a way that the pooch deserves.

The former owner of the dog Raykesha Hardyway, is currently facing the charge of committing animal cruelty, which is categorized as a misdemeanor. Last month Raykehsa was arrested on the allegation that she faced, but she was able to bond herself out.

Bowie is currently in the phase of recovery, and the dog still needs some time to reach his optimum health.

The staff at the shelter told reporters that the dog is not in a position right now to be made available for adoption, but he is showing signs that he will be able to recover very soon.

I consider myself an expert about dogs. I have been a dog owner since I was 8 years old. I love all kinds of dogs, and I try to learn more about the different varieties of dogs as well. Due to some medical complications, I cannot work and I currently live on Disability at the age of 57. I continually try to help my elderly parents stay at home, so that they will not contract this deadly virus. This site will considerably help my family cope with the additional costs associated with not being able to work and the effects of the Coronavirus Pandemic. I pretty am at home everyday working online, except for when I need supplies and groceries. I hope to be able to make this website generate the lost income that I have not been able to earn since 2011. I live in Joplin, MO with my family.
