Dogs are so adorable that people like having their photos taken with these furry beings.
However, there are dog owners that are sensitive about taking photos with their dogs. They do not like strangers taking pictures with their pets for various reasons. Some dogs are not used to the attention. They get stressed or threatened by the presence of other people, thus they go on attack mode. In addition, dog owners are wary about privacy too.
Moreover, working dogs are not allowed to be touched by strangers especially when they are on duty. These dogs are trained to be focused on their jobs, and distractions might cause them to be on alert. Handlers do not want the dogs to hurt people too.
One photo became viral on Facebook when a woman saw a police officer and his partner dog taking selfies together while taking a break from their duty at the airport in Dallas, Texas.
Officer Andre Cloyd treats his dog partner, Zigi, as a friend. Officer Cloyd doesn’t consider himself as Zigi’s handler at all. He views Zigi as a work partner.
At the Dallas airport, Gina Anzaldua Stevenson saw the duo taking selfies while taking a short break at work. She also observed that Officer Cloyd would let Zigi see the photos as if he is seeking his best bud’s approval. Gina couldn’t help but admire the closeness between Officer Cloyd and Zigi. She felt that Officer Cloyd loves Zigi so much.
Gina secretly took photos of Officer Cloyd and Zigi and shared it on the Facebook group Dogspotting Society.
Surprisingly, the photo became viral, and many people shared the picture for more than 48,000 times!
The viral photos also reached Officer Cloyd. He also shared the selfies he took with Zigi for everybody’s curiosity on the same Facebook group.
People who saw their selfies were all but admiration for the crime-fighting duo.
Thank you for inspiring us, Officer Cloyd and Zigi!
