Denver and Star are puppy siblings who used to live as strays on the streets of Louisiana. They were rescued and provided a temporary shelter until they’re ready for adoption. They are not ordinary rescue dogs because one of them had disabilities. Star needed Denver as a guide because she was deaf and nearly blind.
Their original owners abandoned them along with their six littermates and mother. Fortunately, a kind family decided to adopt the mom and the other puppies. The adopters also reached out to a local animal rescue, so these two siblings could be rescued. These puppies are Terrier mix, and before the Helen Woodward Animal Center rescued them, they were tried to survive the life on the streets.
When they were put in the animal center, the rescue team noticed that one of the pups had special needs. The white puppy with a pink nose couldn’t hear and was almost completely blind. Her disabilities caused her to be left out whenever her littermates were playing.
Denver, on the other hand, never left her side. He refused to leave her behind as he would always make sure to keep his vulnerable sister company. Denver’s devotion might mean sacrificing his own happiness for the sake of his sister, but the two pups had great relationships.
Star is never lost as long as Denver is nearby. She would follow her brother wherever he went. Although Denver didn’t receive any formal training as a guide dog, he was doing a good job as his sister’s personal guide. Denver always came back for Star whenever she was left behind or separated.
All the rescued puppies are ready for adoption. Denver and Star needed a family where they can be adopted together. The story of these two wonderful puppy siblings proved that selfless love and loyalty exist even in the animal kingdom.
