People who aren’t into doggos usually underestimate the power of a dog’s love. Just being around these goofy little furballs is enough to relieve our stress. And if we spend a lot of time with them, we basically can’t help but fall in love with these adorable fur babies.
That is exactly what happened to 10-year-old Char Hale from Birmingham, England. The little girl and her mom, Katie, are dog sitters that work for The Paw Club, a dog-sitting service in the United Kingdom that offers a cheap alternative to boarding kennels.
Char and Katie have looked after hundreds of pups for dog parents who had to go away for some time. Because of her exposure to the puppers, Char started falling for them. The only problem is, since she was a dog sitter, the girl had to return the puppers once their owners came back.
So, she asked Katie to get her a pet dog. Char even claimed that she wouldn’t ask for anything for her birthday and Christmas, should her mom grant her wish. This went on for two years until recently, when the young dog sitter finally got her doggo.
Katie decided to surprise her daughter with the pooch. She told Char that they are only picking up the Bichon Frise and Poodle cross for a client named “Anne.” Katie whipped out her phone, pretending to take a photo for the client, but she was actually recording Char because she was about to reveal the surprise.
Katie then told the girl that she’d have to name the pupper because she’s actually her dog. Char couldn’t believe it, and she instantly cried tears of joy because she had wanted to have her own doggo for so long. She named the pooch Jesse after her favorite Toy Story character.
Watch the magical moment when Char realized that she won’t need to return Jesse in the video below.
