Terrell Puggs, or “Sizzle,” was born on May 25, 2017. The dog is the younger brother of his pug sister, Elphie. Recently, Sizzle and Elphie’s owners discovered that both their pugs knew how to manipulate the lock on Sizzle’s dog crate. When the owners realized their younger pug was locking the older pup in the crate, they were amazed.
Andrew Nechetsky and his wife adopted Sizzle from the Delaware Valley Pug Rescue. Andrew’s older pug, Elphie, was ecstatic when the couple brought home Sizzle. Elphie was always looking to spend time with her new brother.
Andrew said since he is the first one to leave for work, his wife would always put Sizzle into his crate before she left the house. The Nechetskys also put up a gate between their kitchen and hallway, so Elphie wouldn’t harass Sizzle while no one was home.
More than once, Andrew would come home to find Sizzle free and roaming about the house. Andrew figured his wife had forgotten to lock Sizzle’s crate until he caught Elphie climbing over the gate and freeing her brother from his crate. Andrew talked to his wife, and they both decided to no longer lock Sizzle inside the crate. The couple figured their troubles were over.
Little did the Nechetskys know, their younger pug could also manipulate the lock! A few weeks later, Andrew got home and noticed that Elphie was locked inside Sizzle’s crate. Andrew said he would hear Elphie crying, and when he saw her in the locked crate, he couldn’t figure out how she ended up trapped inside.
Andrew checked his security camera, but nothing was revealed. One day, Andrew saw Sizzle walking toward the crate, so he decided to follow his pug. He watched as Sizzle opened the crate and put one of Elphie’s toys inside. Then the younger pug walked away and just waited. Elphie came along and walked into the crate to get her toy. Sizzle came up behind her, closed the door, and locked it with his mouth! Andrew Nechetsky couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
Andrew rescued Elphie from the locked crate, but later in the day, Sizzle locked her inside again! Andrew and his wife decided it was in Elphie’s best interest to get rid of the crate. Watch the funny video below:
